Meet Lisa Domenici
Welcome to Domenici Mosaics! I have been a mosaic artist born and raised in Albuquerque New Mexico for over 20 years. Continue reading to find out more about myself, my work, and my philosophy on mosaic art.
I’m a mosaic artist based in Albuquerque, where the desert light, vibrant culture, and strong sense of community continually inspire my work. Through carefully placed pieces of glass, tile, and found materials, I create mosaics that celebrate color, texture, and storytelling.
For me, mosaic art is about transformation; turning broken or ordinary materials into something meaningful and lasting. I believe art should be both beautiful and accessible, whether it’s a large public installation, a custom commission for someone’s home or garden, or a hands-on class where students discover their own creativity.
Commissions
I work closely with clients to design one-of-a-kind mosaic pieces that reflect personal stories, spaces, and visions. From garden installations and memorial pieces to interior statement works, every commission is thoughtfully designed and handcrafted with care.
Community Projects
Community art is at the heart of what I do. I love partnering with schools, neighborhood groups, and local organizations to create collaborative mosaic projects that bring people together. These shared creations become lasting symbols of connection, identity, and pride.
Classes & Workshops
I offer mosaic classes and workshops for all ages and experience levels. My goal is to create a welcoming, supportive environment where students feel confident exploring color, texture, and design while learning practical techniques they can build on.
